This fantastic piece of early-20th Century work is based on a 15th Century Spanish Conquistador Stirrup. Primarily made of Brass with a small Iron bar across the top, this hand forged piece has the patina that would be expected to come with it's age.
Features a shell motif after the seal of St. James.
Most likely part of the popular Spanish revival that came with the 1915 Panama-Pacific Exposition.
