Pearl Talachy (1927–2019) was a distinguished potter from Nambe Pueblo in northern New Mexico, known for her mastery of traditional Native American pottery. Raised in a family of artisans, Pearl honed her skills in the ancient methods of hand-coiling and firing pottery. She was celebrated for her finely detailed, coil-built vessels, often embellished with striking geometric designs, symbolic of Nambe Pueblo’s cultural heritage. Pearl’s work reflects a deep connection to her heritage, blending artistry with traditional techniques passed down through generations. Her pottery gained widespread recognition, and her legacy continues to inspire Native American potters today.
